Next week’s Coronation Street will see Stephen have a nasty accident, while Summer suffers a miscarriage.
Meanwhile, Nick receives an offer from Harvey.
Here’s a look at 14 big moments coming up.
1. Stephen gets a new job
With his money woes increasing, Stephen is delighted when he receives an email inviting him to a job interview regarding some consultancy work. However, his hopes are dashed after an unsuccessful meeting with the employer, Drake.
When Stephen is later offered a job delivering fast food, he has no choice but to accept it.
Stephen’s first delivery brings him face to face with Drake, who mocks Stephen over his new job. Embarrassed, Stephen calls the delivery company and quits.
2. Stephen tries to drug Audrey
Plans are still under way for Audrey and Sam’s cruise, but Stephen tries to derail things by making out to Nick that Audrey is drinking again. He’s left frustrated when Nick insists the holiday will go ahead.
Stephen quickly puts a plan into action and steals Audrey’s antidepressants from her bag. He invites Nick and Audrey for a drink to discuss the cruise and crushes the tablets into a powder.
When Audrey heads to the bathroom, Stephen pulls out the crushed tablets. Will Stephen drug his own mother?
3. Stephen suffers an accident
Stephen receives another setback when Gabrielle reveals she has cancelled his car contract, just as Sarah asks Stephen for a lift.
Under increasing pressure, Stephen calls the fast food agency and begs for his job back.
Back out on the job, Stephen is targeted by a gang of teenagers, who steal his delivery box, work phone and demand money.
When Stephen spots Elaine, he tries to make a hasty escape but loses control of his moped and goes sprawling across the road.
4. Summer and Aaron decide to move
Summer returns to the flat to find Aaron with his dad, Eric. Eric is determined to stay off alcohol but questions how Summer and Aaron afforded to send him to rehab. The couple make out that they borrowed the money from Billy.
Later, Summer insists that Billy can’t find out about the baby, and that they need to move away until after the baby is born.
5. Summer suffers a miscarriage
Summer and Aaron reveal to Mike and Esther that they’re planning to move away. When Esther hears of their plan, she invites Summer to move in with her and Mike. Summer realises it’s the perfect solution to her problem and accepts.
Summer and Aaron are horrified to learn from Jacob that Eric has been drinking. Summer and Aaron rush home and Aaron confronts his dad.
Suddenly, Summer starts feeling pains and begins bleeding. She’s later devastated to realise she has suffered a miscarriage.
6. Summer is caught in a lie
When Summer receives a text from Esther telling her how excited they are for her to move in, Summer is unable to tell Esther the truth.
Suspicion begins to mount over Summer’s health when she experiences pains in work, and Carla and Sarah send her home. Billy calls by the flat to check in but Summer lies that she’s fine.
Meanwhile, after a further drunken incident, Aaron manages to convince Eric to return to rehab and breaks the news to Summer.
Later, Mike and Esther reveal that they’ve redecorated the spare room for Summer. When Esther places her hand on Summer’s stomach, Summer is overwhelmed and rushes out. Will she tell the truth?
7. Nick receives a tempting offer
With their dreams of buying the Bistro looking unlikely, Nick and Leanne are ready to accept defeat. However, during Sam’s latest visit to Harvey, Nick is stunned when Harvey reveals he has got cash – and he wants Nick to spend it on the Bistro.
As Nick contemplates Harvey’s offer, he’s relieved to learn that Debbie will accept their original offer for the Bistro after all, and he doesn’t need Harvey’s money.
Nick and Leanne celebrate the deal, but their happiness is short-lived when they discover the place is riddled with dry rot.
8. Nick finds a solution to their money problem
Nick receives a call from Harvey, informing him that the offer still stands. With the costs of fixing the dry rot adding more expense to their purchase, Nick considers Harvey’s offer.
Leanne has a solution of their own and suggests that Sam might let them use the money he inherited from Natasha, but Sam insists he’s using the money to pay his university fees.
Later, Nick lies to Leanne that he has been in contact with Natasha’s sister, and she has signed the paperwork to let them use Sam’s inheritance.
9. Eileen gets the wrong idea about Todd and Laurence
Dylan confesses to Todd that Sean hasn’t left him alone since the break-up with Laurence and it’s starting to annoy him. Todd presses Sean to keep trying to smooth things over with Laurence. However, Sean leaves a rude message on Laurence’s phone.
A drunk Laurence arrives at The Rovers and confides in Todd about Sean’s message and admits that he still really likes his ex.
Later, Todd tries to help Laurence into a cab but when Eileen sees the pair together, she gets the wrong end of the stick.
10. Sean fears he has ruined things with Laurence
Sean is furious to learn about Todd’s encounter with Laurence and Todd’s attempts to defend himself go ignored.
Meanwhile, Laurence reaches out to Sean to patch things up and is stunned when Sean accuses him of sleeping with Todd.
Later, Sean learns from Daisy that Todd is telling the truth and realises he may have ruined his chances with Laurence for good.
11. Ken is torn between Wendy and Martha
Ken reveals to Wendy about his history with Martha and admits that he must build bridges with her for the sake of the production – but it’s clear he has become torn between the two women.
Later, Mary struggles during rehearsals and blames the script. Ken and Martha agree to tweak some lines and discuss it over tea. When Ken receives a text from Wendy, he makes out that he has a prior engagement and makes a quick exit.
12. Max is further manipulated by Griff
Max discovers Maria taking down Griff’s racist flyers and warns her that Griff won’t like to hear that she’s restricting his free speech.
When Griff learns what Maria has been up to, he instructs Max to set up a petition against the refugee centre.
Later, as Maria, Munir and Daryan discuss the refugee centre, they are approached by Griff who informs them of Max’s online petition. Maria is horrified to see so many signatures protesting against the centre.
13. Sarah and Michael team up
Sarah is impressed when Michael shares his designs for a loungewear range with her. She suggests they go into business together, using his designs coupled with her marketing experience.
Later, Michael is excited when Sarah reveals she has arranged a meeting with a graphic designer to look over his designs and create a proof they can use to show investors.
14. Steve and Tim are at loggerheads
Steve returns from Spain in a wheelchair and confesses to Tim that he hid the truth behind his accident from Tracy.
Meanwhile, Tim discovers that Sally has donated his favourite jacket to the clothes swap. When he spots Steve wearing it, Tim can’t resist telling Tracy how Steve really broke his ankle.
Later, Tim is furious when Steve finds a scratch card in Tim’s jacket and realises he has won £250.
