90 Day Fiancé fans have strong opinions about Mike Youngquist and his mother Trish after their recent appearance on 90 Day: The Single Life. Mike first appeared with his ex-wife Natalie Mordovtseva on 90 Day Fiancé seasons 7 and 8, where Natalie moved to the United States from Ukraine to marry Mike and start a new life together. Mike and Natalie later appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, where they made the difficult decision to end their marriage. Natalie is currently starring on The Single Life season 3, and she has decided to visit Mike after he helped her mother to escape Ukraine amid the Russian invasion.
Mike’s mother Trish has now moved in with Mike, and fans were not thrilled to see her on-screen again. Reddit user United-Gain1839 began a thread about Trish reappearing writing, “This woman makes my skin crawl. She is not innocent.” They continued to explain that they believed she had called Natalie a hooker, although Mike and Trish both insisted that she did not. They also speculated that Trish was purposefully trying to get Natalie out of the picture so that she could move in with Mike without any trouble from Natalie.
90 Day Fiancé Fans Think Mike Is Also Problematic
Fans in the comments agreed that Mike was just as problematic as Trish and that the two egged each other on in a way. Reddit user agnusdei07 commented, “100% not innocent but Mike doesn’t present the truth to her either.” Other fans agreed that Mike was not always honest with Trish when it came to matters between him and Natalie, which contributed to Trish’s negative opinion of Natalie. Natalie told producers that Mike had invited her to visit, however, Mike told Trish that she was only coming to get her things. Text messages shown proved that Natalie was telling the truth, which makes fans more suspicious of Mike.
Fans also felt that Mike and Trish would often gang up on Natalie while she was still with Mike, which they found to be mean and immature. Mike was often very condescending toward Natalie and even threatened to send her back to Ukraine on several occasions. Trish often encouraged Mike, which many fans felt was inappropriate, as she was overstepping on Mike and Natalie’s relationship, which fans say was not her place to do so.
While Natalie has never been a fan favorite among 90 Day Fiancé viewers, they do often take her side when it comes to Mike and Trish. Natalie certainly has her moments, but she did make an effort to get along with Trish and did genuinely love Mike. It was clear that Trish would not have given Natalie a chance regardless of how she acted, so fans do not think Natalie was in the wrong in that situation. Fans also agree that Mike treated Natalie poorly, and think she can do better than him and find someone new on The Single Life.
