Chicago Med spoilers: What to expect in Chicago Med season 8 episode 8

Last week’s Chicago Med once again put a focus on the ongoing troubles with medical shortages, this time when the hospital ran out of scrubs. The lack of scrubs forced the doctors to come up with a less-than-desirable solution in order to keep the E.D. up and running.

Fortunately, Jack Dayton ended up coming to the hospital’s rescue, again, in helping to push through a new deal with Med and their laundry service provider.

After a series of weeks focusing on the hardships of medical shortages, this week’s episode seems to put the heart of the action back on the week’s cases — though there is definitely no telling whether there could be another subplot involving a medical supply shortage pop up this week.

Among this week’s most exciting storylines is the arrival of a new first-year resident, who is about to be thrown into the deep end. As we meet Dr. Justin Lieu, he’ll be scrubbing in alongside Crockett and Will as they attempt to pull off a difficult organ exchange.

Elsewhere in the episode, we’ll get the chance to see a fellow newcomer teaming up with a veteran member of the Med team when Hannah and Nellie partner to help a patient in need.
