Christina Ricci has been acting for more than three decades already, but the popular ’90s child star shows no signs of slowing down with upcoming roles in the much-awaited Tim Burton Netflix show Wednesday and the second season of Showtime’s Yellowjackets.

While her role in Wednesday hasn’t been disclosed yet, Ricci’s decision to join the show has thrilled fans of The Addams Family franchise, as she portrayed the creepy yet lovable character Wednesday Addams in the live-action films The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. In her illustrious career, Ricci has starred in a number of beloved and successful TV shows, some of which have gotten high scores on the review aggregator website, Rotten Tomatoes.


Joey (2004 – 2006): 50%

Coming off the popularity of the hit ’90s show Friends, writers and executive producers Scott Silveri and Shana Goldberg-Meehan created the spin-off Joey, which focused on the beloved Friends character Joey Tribbiani. The show follows Joey as he moves to the West Coast to fully pursue a career as an actor.

Diehard fans of Friends will know that Joey has plenty of sisters, and Ricci plays one of them. In the episode “Joey and the Fancy Sister,” Joey receives a visit from Ricci’s character, Mary Theresa. Unlike Joey’s other siblings, Mary Theresa is incredibly spoiled, which causes Joey trouble. The show aired for two seasons before abruptly getting the ax.

The legal drama TV show Ally McBeal ended more than 20 years ago, but it has cultivated a loyal following that still clamors for its revival. The show is about the titular character and her life as a lawyer working for a Boston law firm. Despite being a legal drama, the show also featured a lot of Ally’s personal life.

On the show’s fifth and final season, Ricci appeared as the cutthroat lawyer Liza Bump, who battled Ally’s law firm colleagues in court. She played the character for seven episodes of the show. Ally McBeal left a lasting impact on viewers due to its smartly-written dialogue and amazing cast.

While the show featured feminist narratives and successfully highlighted the glitz and elegance of air travel in the ’60s, Pan Am received a lot for its cheesy dialogue and mediocre storylines. Because of that, the show was canceled by ABC after only one season.
