DAYS Financial Difficulties: Should Sarah Horton Accept Money From Mom?

[ad_1]

Sarah Horton Cook seems to have two settings on Days of our Lives. She is either whining about having to live in a motel full of roaches or giving back the money her mom, Maggie Horton Kiriakis, gave her so that Sarah and Xander Cook could move out of the motel full of roaches.

Days of our Lives Polling

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) really should pick on position and stick with it. Which, naturally, begs the question: Should Sarah accept Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) gift?

DAYS Helping Hand

A winning 70% of the audience really doesn’t understand what Sarah’s problem is. She had absolutely no problems accepting her mother and Victor Kiriakis’ hospitality all those months she and Xander (Paul Telfer) were hanging out at the mansion, presumably not paying rent.

And, yes, we know Xander stormed out in a huff when Uncle Vic disrespected him one time too many, but so what? Xander claims he doesn’t want Sarah to accept Maggie’s check because then it will look like he can’t provide for her. Sexist, much? Sarah is a doctor, for Pete’s sake, who earns her own very generous salary. As soon as she gets the money she needs, she’ll pay her mom back. This is about her, not Xander. When did he become such a chauvinist?

Sarah Horton: Take What You Need

A smaller 22% of you suggest that Sarah doesn’t need to take the entire amount Maggie offered. Just enough that they can move into a hotel…without roaches. That’s a compromise, right?

Stand By Your Man Days of our Lives

Only 8% believe Sarah should make like a good, little wife and do what her husband says. If he wants to be poor, then Sarah should commit to being poor. Though when Xander ever wanted to be poor…we can’t exactly recall. This is definitely not the man Sarah married!
