DAYS Recap: Jada and Eric Decide To Raise The Baby

[ad_1]

The DAYS recap for Wednesday, November 23, 2022, featured adults deciding to, you know, adult, and at least two characters pondering whether or not Karma was a real thing.

DAYS Recap Highlights

In this episode, Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) decision to keep her baby and raise it alongside Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) cut Nicole Walker Hernandez (Arianne Zucker) to the quick, while a happy turkey day was had by the extended Carver/Price family…or, as happy as one can be while they or someone they love is facing a murder charge. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Father’s Daze

Jada and Eric each had news to share, and they decided to confide it in, respectively, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). The couple were conditionally thrilled, suspecting as they did that neither party was particularly thrilled by the turn of events.

Jada in particular was quite sore that she was pregnant by a man who didn’t love her. Kate, despite admitting to being a champion of Eric and Nicole’s reunion, wondered if it might not behoove Jada to fight for her baby’s father, and, barring that, couldn’t they come together and figure out how to co-parent? This is Salem, Anywhere, USA, it’s 202something, not the 1960s!

Maybe, declared a reluctant Jada. But truth be told, she’s not even sure that she wants to keep the baby let alone work out a visitation schedule/child support plan with Eric. She needed time to think — and in the same span it took her to consider Kate’s invitation to join the group for dinner, she decided that yes, she very much likes the idea of becoming a mother, and she’d very much like for Eric to be a part of the child’s life. Much celebration is had…by everyone who isn’t Nicole.

DOOL Recap: Outside Looking In

Poor Nicole. Not only was her day capped by hearing that the love of her life is shackling himself to another woman, but it began with her crossing paths with a still seriously steamed Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and it saw her toiling side by side with him the kitchen that was once theirs so that she could bless him with a pumpkin pie for the family dinner they’d set up months earlier. Oh, and the two of them also had to talk divorce.

The agreed-upon sequence of events? After the holidays they both get lawyers, and she can file the documents. And the reason for the divorce? Perish the thought that Nicole would have to take any responsibility. She can cite “irreconcilable differences.”

DAYS Recap: ‘Tis The Season

Paulina Price Carver (Jackée Harry) paid her beloved — and jailed — baby girl a visit, assured her that she was there through no fault of her own, and wound up letting slip that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) was not only the person behind the blackmail attempt but the daughter of the woman who Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) accidentally dropped over the side of a building.

The news compounded Chanel’s guilt at having sullied both Paulina and Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) reputations and left the young woman wondering whether or not Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) could possibly continue loving someone like her. She needn’t have feared.

Not only is Allie still behind her girlfriend 1000% but she and Abe pooled their resources and managed to bring a little Thanksgiving cheer to Chanel and Paulina’s no-good, very bad day.
