Do These Y&R Divas Realize They Are Plotting Murder?

[ad_1]

Nikki Newman, Ashley Abbott, and Phyllis Summers have finally come up with the Young and the Restless plan that will rid them of Diane Jenkins once and for all. They are going to use Tucker McCall to let Jeremy Stark know that Diane was the one who set him up and got him sent to prison. Diane will then feel threatened and disappear again. It’s brilliant! It’s foolproof! It’s…homicidal.

Young and the Restless: Break It Down

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) want to tip off a dangerous mobster about who turned on him and got him sent to the big house. Do they realize that they are basically signing Diane’s (Susan Walters) death warrant? Or do they realize it and…not care?

Best Laid Y&R Plans

Yes, we realize that all Nikki, Ashley, and Phyllis want to do is make Diane fear for her life, so that she pulls another disappearing act, changes her name, wipes all traces of her existence, and, most importantly, cuts off all contact with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).

But what if — stay with us, here — even if that’s what Diane decides to do, she doesn’t do it fast enough? What if Jeremy (James Hyde) gets to her first? And actually does kill her? Then what?

Young and the Restless: Blood on Their Hands

Have Nikki, Ashley, and Phyllis thought through the consequences of their actions? Yes, in their world, there has never been an evil greater than Diane, and anything they do to neutralize the threat is all fair in love and war.

But murder? Even murder? Especially murder? Do they understand that they are putting out a hit on this woman? Are they OK with that? How will they justify it to their loved ones…even if they can justify it to themselves?
