A new twist in Alfie Moon’s storyline on EastEnders suggests his ex-wife Kat Slater may be warming up to him again.
The cab driver played by Shane Richie has been on a mission to win Kat (Jessie Wallace) back, despite her being loved up with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
In upcoming scenes set to air next week, Alfie isn’t doing great after losing Phil’s money. He panics when Kat gets back home and asks to access Phil’s safe, forcing him to admit he doesn’t have the £30,000 following his kidnap ordeal.

Ever a resourceful man, Alfie comes up with a plan to sell some electric items to get the money back — but it backfires. After being initially annoyed at Alfie for living at her and Phil’s in her absence, Kat later caves and lets her ex stay, much to their children’s delight.
When Alfie finally manages to earn back some cash through his dodgy activity, he and Kat end up having a heart-to-heart. Things then look even rosier once Alfie decides to help Tommy with a school fundraiser.

Alfie promises Kat that he genuinely wants to do a good deed, swearing his involvement in the fundraising event has nothing to do with getting Phil’s money back. Kat then ends up warming even more to her former husband when she sees her he’s rallied volunteers for his fundraising idea.
Her reaction gives Alfie a glimmer of hope for their future, but is there really a chance the two could ever get back together?
