Tonight’s (November 18) episode of Emmerdale saw Kerry Wyatt choose to leave the village following her discovery of her late partner Al Chapman’s affair.

Still reeling from the news, Kerry visited The Woolpack to drown her sorrows, revealing her discovery of Al’s infidelity to a shocked Chas.

While Chas was relieved that Kerry wasn’t aware that she was the one who was sleeping with Al, she was forced to listen as a heartbroken Kerry vented her feelings.

Concerned that Kerry will be looking to get revenge, Chas pleaded with her to do something more positive and suggested she take some time away from the village.

“I’d go and I’d grieve for everything, I’d let it wash over me and climb out stronger than ever,” she said. Her words resulted in Kerry making a big decision – she was going to take the advice and accept a job working on her friend’s cruise ship.

Back at home, a relieved Chas continued to encourage Kerry to go for the opportunity. However the pair were overheard by Chloe, who was shocked to discover Kerry’s plans.

Heartbroken, Chloe begged Kerry not to leave her but Kerry insisted that it was the best option for their future.

“This way I can get my head together and come back better and I know you know it makes sense because you’ve stopped arguing,” she insisted, promising to be back for the birth of Chloe’s baby.

Kerry decided to leave the village that very afternoon, promising Chloe and Amelia that she’d be back before they knew it.

Chas watched on, feeling relieved that she won’t have to face the consequences of her affair with Al. However, her relief is short lived as Chloe asked her to keep her ears open in The Woolpack for any rumours of who had been sleeping with Al, vowing to get revenge for Kerry.

“She’s going to wish it was Kerry dealing with her and not me,” Chloe warned
