Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks‘ Goldie McQueen was left devastated during Wednesday (November 9) night’s first look instalment on E4 as Mercedes McQueen made her big return from Spain.

Mercedes wasted no time in making her presence known, pushing past Goldie and heading inside as Goldie made it clear in no uncertain terms that she was no longer welcome. It was then that Goldie dropped the bombshell that she knew everything about Bobby failing to help Sylver McQueen in the fire.

“Silas was right about that video all along,” Goldie told Mercedes as she grabbed her tablet to show her the footage she’d found in the cloud. “Look, that is Sylver trapped in the fire and he said that Bobby had gone to get help but he didn’t did he?” she added, before exiling Mercedes and Bobby.

Both women then called an emergency family meeting and Goldie was ready to go in all guns blazing with the revelation Bobby didn’t help Sylver, which led to his death. But before she could blurt out the information, Mercedes decided to be honest with the family about what she’d been hiding after announcing Bobby would also be returning home.

“Sylver would still be alive if it wasn’t for Bobby,” Goldie pointed out following Mercy’s confession. “He could’ve saved him!”

As a shocked Marlena McQueen and family tried to make sense of things, Mercedes tried to defend Bobby and pointed out that she was lied to as well because Bobby didn’t tell her the truth right away either.

That’s when Theresa McQueen dropped the bombshell that she knew Bobby had a dark side because she’d been attacked by him, leaving her “terrified”. However, in making the admission, she also accidentally let slip that she too knew about the incriminating video.

“I know what we’re going to do [about Bobby]. Take him to the police!” an irate Goldie then said, devastated that Theresa knew the truth. That left Mercedes horrified, though Nana made it clear she didn’t want anyone going to the police.

The McQueen clan then had a family vote to decide if Mercedes would stay in the UK or go back to Spain, and it was determined Mercy would be sticking around — leaving a horrified Goldie in tears.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
