Joe Jonas rose to fame as one third of the Jonas Brothers, but he’s now making his big screen acting debut in the Korean War drama Devotion, where he plays pilot Marty Goode.
And he has a good teacher: Jonas is married to Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones for eight straight seasons, so she knows her way around a set. “She tells me to do it again, and do it again and do it again,” Jonas told ET Online. “Luckily, just watching her do her thing is always inspiring.”
I mean, I feel so grateful that I get to have somebody like her behind the camera when it’s time to put myself on tape.
Joe Jonas has seen House of the Dragon, but Game of Thrones is still #1
Naturally, Jonas has watched his wife on Game of Thrones, although he admits that he has also taken in HBO’s new prequel series House of the Dragon, which wrapped up its first season last month. “There’s [only] one Game of Thrones though,” he qualified, making sure we know that his wife’s show is the first in his heart.
I wonder if Turner has watched it with him? I can’t be the only one wondering what Sansa Stark has to say about HBO’s return to Westeros. Hopefully we’ll find out the next time she’s doing press for a new project.
In the meantime, Devotion comes out in the United States next week, on November 23. As for a second season of House of the Dragon, we’ll probably be waiting until 2024.
