Phyllis Summers just does not understand what is going on with Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless. Here she has gone out of her way — selling her beloved hotel, taking a job below her skill set, forgoing doing that job in favor of endless snooping — to help Jack out by exposing Diane Jenkins for the monster that she is.
Young and the Restless Polling
However, instead of falling at her feet in gratitude, Jack (Peter Bergman) is actually telling her to mind her own business. Say what? Is he out of his mind? Here’s what not just Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), but also over 2,000 viewers think about that!
Good Girls Finish Last With Jack Abbott
Poor, poor Phyllis, 66% of you are weeping in sympathy. So good, so sweet, so giving, so innocent. And Jack is treating her like she has no right to expose the lies told by her daughter’s husband’s mother! If this isn’t her business, then what is? He’s acting like Phyllis is doing something wrong when she is the only one doing something right in this scenario!
Y&R: Right On
A misguided 22%, on the other hand, are in agreement with Jack. Diane (Susan Walters) is his ex, and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is his son. Phyllis literally has no business sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. This is a family issue, and her being Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) mother doesn’t earn her a free pass. Or a vote on how they choose to handle Diane.
Jack Abbott Two-Fer
It depends, 12% of the audience is hedging. On the one hand, Phyllis has every right to be concerned about Summer’s happiness. On the other, what makes Summer the most unhappy these days is her mother’s actions. So maybe she should take a step back. And to the side. And bring Diane down from there. Jack won’t be able to object, then.
