90 Day Fiancé’s Usman Umar recently accepted Kim Menzies’ proposal, but Sojaboy is already looking for a second and younger wife.
90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? cast member Usman Umar may have found his second wife, at least according to a new preview clip. The 90 Day Fiancé mainstay became known to fans while courting his ex-wife Lisa Hamme on the TLC reality series. His current relationship with Kim Menzies has accelerated after he accepted her surprise proposal. However, there have been immediate problems with disagreements in the relationship, chief among them Usman’s insistence on taking multiple wives.
In a preview clip from the next episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, shared by ET, Usman is seen meeting with a possible candidate for his second wife. A prolonged silence between Usman and 18-year-old Fareedet only ends when Usman asks about his competition when it comes to her suitors. Usman, who is known for his charm, is able to break through with a question. “I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived, but seeing your beauty got me excited,” Usman says, prompting a warm reception from Fareedet. She appears amenable to the relationship, saying that “it has always been my wish to get married and produce children. I wish to have Usman as my husband sometime soon or in the future. I am truly excited.”
90 Day Fiancé’s Usman’s Recently Accepted Kim’s Marriage Proposal
Fareedet has the support of other people in Usman’s life. In an interview segment, Usman’s mother Fadimatu states plainly that she wants grandchildren and a daughter-in-law that can provide them to her. “He can marry another woman later,” Fadimatu says, referring to Kim as “that woman” and worrying that if Usman takes her as his first wife, he will not return home afterwards. Fadimatu echoes sentiments heard throughout the 90 Day Fiancé franchise that Kim can be seen as unlikable. Fareedet’s mother Jumai also seems to approve of the union. She lists her requirements for her husband as a man who is “mature and responsible, not a drug addict,” of which Usman can certainly claim the last qualifier.
While cultural differences must be respected and taken into account, one can see Usman’s actions here as slightly hasty. When considering the courtship, marriage, and subsequent divorce of Usman and Lisa that occurred on camera over several 90 Day Fiancé shows, the concept of multiple spouses was presented as an afterthought when it was raised at all. This first marriage between Sojaboy and Baby Girl Lisa focused on different interpersonal issues, whereas Kim and Usman’s televised courtship brings a multiple-wife marriage to the forefront. This change could leave 90 Day Fiancé fans wondering if Usman is already ready to leave Kim behind.
However, this move could be an attempt to keep all parties inside and outside of the marriage happy. Both Usman’s mother and his potential mother-in-law stated their desire for grandchildren, something that Kim cannot naturally provide. With the possibility of progeny added into the relationship, the older generation could be satisfied and allow Usman more latitude to do what he pleases both for himself and for Kim. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans are convinced that Usman is using this relationship for a Green Card, and taking a second wife would demonstrate a commitment that would extend beyond that goal. It remains to be seen if Kim is on board with this plan, but there is every chance that their time on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? will end in a happily ever after.
